MMO: Does Recession Effect Making Money Online
The easy answer is yes, our current recession affects everything with money involved, except the money you make on iMobsters haha. BUT not necessarily in a negative way. It all depends on how you make your money online. MMO beginners or not it's all about tactic. Some mmo entrepreneurs actually have seen an increase in online profits due to the recession while others have gone out of biz.
In a recession people become instantly start thinking in different terms about money, its value changes. People are looking for products with quality or added value of some sort. They are also looking for the best deal and where better to get it than online?
Capitalizing on the current psychology of the nation and offering reasonable prices can boost your sales online. Aside from selling products online, there are the mmo bloggers who make money from ads, affiliate programs, and my fav-adsense.
Affiliate programs are not performing as well during the recession as its counterparts are like adsense which doesn't require anyone to buy anything-huge money advantage during the recession. This is not to say that all affiliate programs are suffering there are those who are thriving but only for the few at the top of the SERPs.

MMO: Best Way for Me to Make Money Online?
How can a beginner make money online? There are as well known, many ways to make money online... the question really is what is the best way for me to make money online. Like many others if you're starting from this point, you've got to sift through a certain amount of bull sh** to get any real answers.
I recommend that you begin asking yourself a few questions like the following:
- How much effort am I willing to put into making money online?
- Do I have a product to sell?
- Do I want to sell anything?
- Can I write anything interesting or informative on a weekly basis?
- How much time do I have to attempt MMO?
- Do I want fame or money?
- Am I really creative enough to blog for money?
And so on.................
As I've said often before social bloggers aren't making any money online, so you should avoid this if you want to make money. But go for it if all you're seeking is fame.
Maybe you've got an awesome product that you've developed and no way to market it. The best way for you to make money in this scenario is to develope a website designed to sell your product for you. And you should also start an affiliate program to boost your sales. Which leads to my next point.....
So you don't have a product and you're not interested in selling anything, too much hassle. The best way for you to make money is by becoming an affiliate of great products online that people want. Go and get a free blogger blog or another of your choosing and slap a few affiliate ads on there after you've tweaked your site with some SEO techniques and have a steady stream of visitors.
An even easier way to make money for beginners (my chosen method) is to simply use adsense on your blog. Unlike affiliate mmo, your visitors don't have to buy anything for you to make money-all they have to do is click your adsense ads and you get paid per click. Pretty simple. This has been the best way for me to make money online as it doesn't require me to do anything other than stay on topic in my posts and write an article every now and then. Great idea for those who want to make money without investing a lot of time.
The best way for you to make money online is totally subjective to your personal goals and aspirations. One should take the time to plan and assess personal goals, preferred methods and time constraints in order to chose the best avenue for making money online.

Search Engine Optimization for Beginners
One way to ensure that you will make money online is to incorporate basic SEO techniques every time you post a new article on your blog.
How to Optimize your blog for Google
Search engine optimization (SEO) benefits you the most when you optimize for only one search engine....Google. Why Google? Because it is the dominant search engine and the SEs cannot bring the traffic that Google will.
Most of you have considered making money with your blog at some point or another I assume. While there are others out there blogging for fun or social prestigue. If you're blogging for fun with a small social network then please ignore this post. But for those of you who want to make money online, listen up because this is how you get traffic with search engine optimization.
Without traffic a blog cannot make money. Period. There are essentially four types of traffic:
- organic traffic (free search traffic)
- paid traffic (Pay Per Click PPC adwords)
- searchc traffic
- social traffic
There are two ways that traffic comes to your site-search engines an social networking sites. You make money from search traffic because it's comprised of regular people who want something so they're doing a "search" for it in Google. These people are willing to buy. Social traffic will get you fans...and that's about it. Social traffic consists of other bloggers who are looking for info and nothing more. They aren't looking to spend any money.
Again the only search engine worth your time is Google. Since we're doing search engine optimization for beginners, I'm going to simplify things as much as possible.
How to Rank Number 1 in Google
Search engine optimization is made up of two parts:
- On Page Search Optimization
- Off Page Optimization
It's really that simple....
On page optimization consists of two things - blog layout and post layout. In other words everything that you see on the page.
1.Blog Layout consists of:
- URL
- Blog Title
- Description of your blog
- Sidebar Headers
2. Post Layout
- The Post Title
- Post Header
- Sub Headers
- and the Post Content
Off Page Optimization can be summed up in one word - backlinks. The best backlinks are relevant to your niche and are anchored with keyword related text from sites with quality Page Rank. How to get quality backlinks is a whole other beast to tackle (more on this later). You can beat 90% of you competition with on page optimization alone! The other 10% takes more time and links.
Taking what we've learnt so far here is an example so you can see some SEO in practice. If I wanted to rank high for the search term: SEO for beginners, this is what I would do:
My blog layout would look like this:
My url would be seoforbeginners.com. My blog title would also have my primary keyword/phrase in it which is SEO for beginners and my sidebar would have titles with SEO sprinkled throughout further reinstating that my blog is about search engine optimization. Just look at my MMO blog here and see if you can tell what I want to rank for, make money online, MMO, etc.
Getting the perfect URL is easier than you may think despite the fact that most people grab them up so quickly. For example, I dunno lets say that I wanted to create a money experiment blog about build a niche store (BANS) software. Obviously I can't get buildanichestore(dot)com because it's already taken. So I will have to add extra words to my primary keyword or use the long tail version of my keyword.
So I could use something like build a niche store for beginners and keep my focus on helping beginners learn how to make money with build a niche store. Better yet, since I said that it was hypothetically in the make money online experiment niche; it would make more since to use build a niche store experiment or bans experiment.
It my not look very pretty but it works. URLs are designed for computers not people. There seems to be some kind of confusion about this with a lot of mmo newbies. Catchy URLs won't get you the traffic that one with your keyword in it will. Do a few searches and see who ranks on page 1 in Google and then look at the urls. My post layout is just extra. Considering you've done everything I have done up to now, you should start getting indexed longtail versions of your main keyword. Go after less competitive longtails before going after your primary keyword. The more you rank for, the easier it is to become visible in the SERPS for something more competitive. You can't play in the super bowl with out winning the little games!

How to MMO for Beginners
As mentioned many times before this site is strictly for MMO beginners to learn basic ways to make money online without working hard. Some people work hard for little to no money at all while others work less and make more money online.
There are basically two schools of thought for making money blogging-blogging for social traffic or blogging for search traffic. I've tried the social route and come up empty handed, frustrated, and just outright pissed off about all the time I wasted and the udue stress I put on myself - all for nothing.
I'm not interested in spending 30 to 40 hours a week posting or having a second job. Making money online is about being free from the constraints of a real job. After you've learned how to do on-page search engine optimization all you need to focus on is getting well anchored backlinks.
Another thing that I don't care to do, but if it happens great, is develop a readership with this blog. This is an adsense blog. Period. It has been optimized for search traffic and not return visits. Why? Because clicks from search traffic convert better for the Advertisers which means I get a higher price per click. Now don't get me wrong here. I APPRECIATE my visitors and I want you all to learn how to MMO and find value here. But let's look at a couple of important things first: I'm in this to make money foremost. I don't try to sell you anything in the process and I don't make false promises.
I simply tell you how I make money online from search traffic and how you can make money from search traffic by using basic SEO.
You get free information here about SEO and how Adsense works. You also get to take advantage of my blunders and experience online so that you don't have to waste any of your time with make money online scams that don't work. What I get is to talk about something of great interest to me and make money while doing it.
And this is really how to MMO for beginners.

MMO: How to Become a Make Money Online Authority
What's does an authority have that the rest of us are lacking? Some would say an audience, but that's only partly true. Anybody can corner a small group and force them via social awkwardness to listen or at least remain silent whilst you are speaking but that's not real authority and that certainly doesn't work online. If someone doesn't agree with you or care to hear what you're blogging about all they've gotta do is click the close button.
No social awkwardness there at all.
Recent studies show that people aren't reading books anymore. That's not to say that people have forgotten them altogether, but for the most part if it ain't a text message forget about it. Sad as this may be, it makes becoming an authority a hell of a lot easier.
Let's take making money as an example.
If you read one book about making money you would know more than the average person about making money.
If you read two books about making money you would know more than 2/3 of the population about how to make money.
If you read three books on any topic, including making money you will qualify as an authority on making money.
There is a wealth of information in a single book. Reading at least three books about making money makes you an authority because of the in depth information you attain through reading different views on the same topic. This is how you build authority.
How do you become a make money online authority?
Read as much about making money online as you can from other MMO authorities. People who really do make money online, not just the average joe who reads John Chow articles. *It does matter who you're reading more than how much you read.*
That's not to say that learning the aspect of social blogging in the make money online niche wouldn't be useful or aid you in becoming an MMO authority. In fact at least on of your sources should teach you everything you should avoid doing in order to make money online. Ahem, social blogging.
In addition to reading books on making money, you should also read quality articles by an array of MMO bloggers who uses different methods for making money online. One great MMO resource is a post on mine called Beginners Guide to MMO. I hope this helps you on your quest to becoming an authority on making money online!

Money Maker for Beginners
Does that sound fair?
Ok.
Easiest way to make money for beginners that I can think of besides using adsense is to do what I'm about to outline for you. To succeed in making money online you've always gotta be on guard for a new concept of making money online. If you're lucky you'll find the newest money maker and be the first to advance like Grizz did when he started targeting "Payday Loans" as an additional keyword. Targeting a keyword like that is serious business because it is considered a Red Flag keyword by Google since it pays out upwards of nine dollars per click. It's too difficult to target something like that with only beginners basic SEO. Getting off topic now we'll save that one for later.
Ok here's what I want you to do:
First a little brainstorming.
Think of some niches that always have customers. One of the first niches that pop into my head is fitness, weight loss, etc. This one applies to the most common concept of MMO which is the law of supply and demand. Being fit and attractive is high in demand thanks to our society today where everyone has to be attractive to "advance" in the world. You better believe it makes a difference when promotion time comes around at work. Being fit and attractive are proven assets for making more money and getting better jobs according to recent psychological studies. People who are attractive and not overweight are more likely to be viewed as trustworthy and competent at their job than employees who are unattractive and overweight. So there is a great market for anything related to looking good.
The method of making money that you're going to use is called offline promotion. For MMO beginners, this one is especially easy because you don't have to rely on getting search traffic through your under developed SEO skills (don't worry we all start out that way especially yours truly). Good news is that you can make money without SEO for now, and the better news is that you can learn SEO and make money with both offline and online tactics later on. However, once you find a balance between the two you can make double the money from search traffic.
For now....
Choose your niche. I'm gonna use weight loss fitness for example. You don'teven have to have a website to make money with this method!
The first thing you do after picking a niche is keyword research. As you are doing this you're looking for phrases that contain your keyword with in the phrase and don't have much competition. Some competition is good, because you can compete with them and those key phrases are getting searched in Google. By doing this you guys are doing basic SEO that will advance your rankings in the SERPs. All SEO isn't as complicated as the experts would have you think. You can do this!
So after you've done that you wanna choose a URL with your main keyword in it if at all possible. Once again this is a very powerful and easy SEO technique for beginners. Continuing with the example let's say I chose weightloss.com and it was taken so then I chose weight-loss.com and got it. Great.
The next thing you can do is to join an affiliate program specifically for losing weight that converts well and pays you a decent commission of 25 to 50 bucks per sale. The way that you make money without a website or blog is that you redirect your URL to your affiliate link so that, in English, when a person types in your URL they are automatically sent to the site you're an affiliate of where they land on the sale page. Now this technique is considered "cloaking" and some people debate whether or not is ethical, but that's for you to decide for yourself. It's a lot easier than starting a blog and putting an affiliate link in a post and hoping that you get at least 15% of your traffic to click it.
This way you get 100% of your traffic to go through your affiliate link. That an 85% increase in possible sales conversion - which is a damn good argument in favour of this MMO tactic. Easily the best money maker for beginners aside from adsense.
Alright all that sounds pretty good and the numbers are in your favor to make killer commissions but how do you get people to find your site?
This is where "offline promotion" will make you the big money. You do it the old fashion way with leg work. Go to all your local gyms and put up flyers with you URL and a description of the product and post them on bulletin boards or put flyers on cars at the gym too. Do anything to get noticed. Consider any concept of making money online available to you. Examine all avenues that could get the word out for your affiliate site.
Next put ads in newspapers with a few words and most importantly your URL. There are lots of little papers that allow ads for free, take advantage of them. Most you gotta pay for but shouldn't cost much. You make one sale that way and you'll make a profit as cheap as some ads are. The more creative you get offline the more money you will make online. You can make money like this the free way as well, just be creative with it. I guess you can see why this is such a money maker for beginners as there is hardly any expense to you at all besides the cost of a domain name which you can get anywhere from 5 to 8 bucks. After you've done your offline promotion you don't have to work for money any more. No posts to write or website to maintain, just ocassional offline promotion.

Basic Concepts of Making Money Online
I can tell by the general consensus of the emails I'm getting that you guys are still feeling overwhelmed by the whole make money online deal. You probably don't know where to begin and it's like grabbing at straws to get anyone who really knows how to MMO to share their secrets with you. This comes out of fear that once they reveal what works in MMO that everyone will be doing it and it will no longer work anymore.
That is true to a certain extent for technical issues and formulas but doesn't apply to what I'm going to tell you about later. Sharing the basic concepts of MMO with you will not hurt me or my profits in any way simply because the way that I make money online isn't affected by anything other than rankings in Google's SERPs. Rank higher than me, make more money than me.
It's that simple.
You may have noticed that this is a relatively new MMO blog and you may also notice that there are no affiliate links or any other form of monetization for that matter anywhere on this MMO blog currently (as of today's date). Why? It's all part of a strategy that I use to make money from my blog and rank high in the SERPs. I know that it seems contradictory, but you will understand later on how I will make more money and rank higher in Google by delaying monetization.
Which brings me back to my reason for writing this, if you're an MMO beginner you probably don't know how to get started with setting up an internet business. I'm sure you've got tons of questions (I know because I check my email!):
How do I make a blog?
What is MMO?
What are some basic money making concepts?
How do you make money online?
Do I have to sell anything?
What's the best niche to work in?
Which niche makes the most money?
What's adsense?
Should I use adwords?
How do I set up an adsense account?
How do I get traffic?
How does adsense work?
And the list goes on and on understably. You will always have new questions about making money online as long as you do this thing. It's an environment that you must be willing to continually learn in order to be successful. My point is that you clearly want to make money online and your are willing to learn if you're here reading this. I mentioned earlier that this blog is not monetized in any way and I don't have any affiliate links or products anywhere on this blog. I'm not trying to make any money off of you by recommending this product or that. Most MMO bloggers will tell you that you can make money fast if you just buy this software or that book.
No Sir, none of that here.
I'm only talking about the basics of making money online that don't cost you a thing. Forget about using Adwords or buying Aaron Wall's SEO book. You don't need them. You can make money without spending money. If you use Adwords you will make money but you will also end up paying that much or more right back for the cost of advertisement.
How Adsense Works
What I do recommend is that you use Adsense because it is 100% free and it is also a dream money maker for beginners because you can be completely computer illiterate and still make money using free traffic on your free blogger blog (more on free blogs later). It doesn't get any more basic than that folks. With Adsense, Google provides the advertisements for you and even matches them to your content so that all of the ads showing up on your blog are relevant to what you're writing about making those ads more appealing to your visitors.
You make money from search traffic.
A visitor googles a term that they want to know more about or maybe they google something that they want to buy and they end up on your blog reading your content. Then that visitor sees an ad by Google that is relevant to what they were looking for when they found your site and then they click the ad to continue looking for whatever it is that they were looking for and you make money.
How?
Google pays you per click for those adsense ads. You aren't selling anything so your visitors don't have to buy anything for you to make money. It's a beautiful, basic system for making money online. Advertisers pay Google then Google pays you. This is how you make money with adsense. There are a few things I'd like to talk more about in the next section of this article because they didn't get all the air time that they need in this one. So let's call it a day and we will pick up next time on basic concepts of making money online for beginners.
